Trace Group Hold - a crucial part of a major infrastructure project connecting Serbia and Bulgaria

On Saturday, November 9th 2019, Trace Group Hold company's management team attended the commissioning of the eastern leg of Pan-European Transport Corridor 10 in Republic of Serbia – Е 80 highway section from Dimitrovgrad to Nis (total length of 86.8 km). The official ceremony was headed by Serbian President Aleksander Vucic and Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov in the presence of Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, Bulgarian and Serbian ministers. Amongst Trace representatives the event attended prof. Nikolay Mihaylov - chairman of the Supervisory Board, eng. Boyan Delchev – CEO, eng. Stoyko Meshkov and eng. Predrag Spassov – executive directors of Trace Serbia, eng. Yanko Yanchev – project manager of the sections built by Trace.

Trace Group Hold built sections between Dimitrovgrad and Pirot (appr. 14 km.) and was the first foreign company that finished its lots in the end of 2016. During the opening the Serbian president Vucic congratulated the participants in the building process and talked in Bulgarian language as a sign of respect to the Bulgarian minority in Serbia. Bulgarian prime minister Borisov said that the highway construction made the wall between Serbia and Bulgaria fall, comparing it to the Berlin Wall. He congratulated everyone with the crucial infrastructure project since it shall be of great importance to the economy. "Today we connect Asia and Europe through Bulgaria and Serbia," Borisov added.

The solemn ceremony was attended also by many citizens and the builders themselves.
